About the role

This position is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining the daily production schedule to meet customer service requirements, achieve inventory targets, and optimize manufacturing capacity. The role ensures the plant executes against the schedule while working closely with Plant Management, Procurement, and Inventory Coordinators to address unplanned variances, downtime, or quality issues.

What You Will Do At Acme:
• Develop, analyze, and publish the daily production schedule for processing and packaging operations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Inventory, and Logistics teams to balance customer service, efficiency, and inventory targets.
• Monitor and report on schedule changes, compliance, and their operational impacts.
• Partner with Sales, Procurement, and Inventory to adjust plans in response to supply, capacity, and demand fluctuations.
• Work with Sales and the Inventory Coordinator to create a level-loaded production schedule.
• Provide administrative support to the site as needed.
• Organize, plan, and optimize production schedules to align supply chain performance with customer demand and service-level goals.
• Assess and communicate the financial implications of scheduling decisions.
• Manage time-sensitive tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines.
• Partner with Customer Service to resolve product supply and service issues.
• Reduce supply chain waste through proactive management of aging inventory.
• Coordinate with the Logistics team to drive efficiency and maximize synergies.

Your Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Business or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, food preferred.

Your Skills & Abilities:
• Prior experience with the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Schedule (MPS) systems, helpful.
• Must have a solid understanding of production planning within a ERP system.
• Strong Analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers and Windows based software, in particular strong Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, phone and email communication skills required.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in a group environment.
• The ability to handle multiple people and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer (internal and external) focused attitude in a dynamic environment.
• Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or prolonged periods of standing.
• Work environment – office and production floor.
• The ability to work in cold (32 to 45F) and wet environment.
• Exposure to low level of noise on production floor.
• Exposure to uneven ground and floor angles.
• Stretching, bending, pulling, etc.
• Flexibility in hours worked, including handling possible after hours and weekend issues, also occasional weekend coverage may be required.
• Indicate any Travel requirements.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

• Wear required PPE.
• Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
• Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
