The Software Architect will play a critical leadership role in supporting the execution and growth of the EW/ISR business area. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communications skills and be able to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. They should have strong collaboration skills, be able to manage multiple, potentially conflicting assignments, while ensuring accuracy, adherence to documentation standards, and timely delivery of all work products. They should have experience developing, deploying, and sustaining complex software system architectures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for defining software architectures across all the programs and projects in the EW/ISR division.
- Collaborate across the divisions within the OG, the sector and across sectors to drive design re-use and scalability in larger system designs.
- Mentor and educate the software development staff in sound architectural principles and implementation strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to help create the next generation of software focused products with a strong customer-driven approach.
- Drive product vision and direction for common services and a shared baseline, while exhibiting strong strategy, execution, design, and analytics.
- Build relationships across the CACI engineering teams and our program management organization to execute full software lifecycles.
- Interface with customers in providing technical support for existing products as well as communicate designs and feature roadmaps.
- Conduct usability studies, research, and market analysis and integrate into product requirements to enhance solution sets and customer satisfaction.
- Own and create comprehensive software designs and improvements while providing technical leadership and direction.
- Lead and collaborate on all business readiness activities including product testing, rollout, iteration, and support.
- Coordinate strategic direction with executive CACI leadership.
- Look beyond current funded programs to ensure growth and technology innovation through a 5-year and beyond plan.
- Serve as a primary interface with customers and vendors to validate and evangelize the strategic direction.
- Mentor self-motivated individuals and teams/programs to further technical solutions, increase profitability, communicate with stakeholders, collaborate with peers, and deliver mission success for our customers.
- An advanced University Degree (PhD/MS) or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of related work experience.
- Mastery of knowledge within multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers within and outside the organization.
- Sound business acumen combined with technical knowledge for holistic solutions.
- Experience architecting large software systems based on customer requirements and documenting and presenting designs for the solution.
- Experience designing high-level architectural solutions which pull from existing code as well as new development.
- Experience establishing and enforcing standards for scalability, performance, security, and modularity.
- Ability to communicate software designs and concepts to government customers.
- Experience collaborating with DoD and/or IC customers.
- Familiarity and Experience with Web Development Technologies – Java, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Groovy, Grails, ReactJS.
- Familiarity and Experience with Backend Development Technologies – General knowledge of C/C++, Python and Java languages.
