Position Overview
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a Vendor Relations Specialist to develop, maintain and evaluate contracts with retail food and pharmacy vendors to ensure the availability of WIC foods throughout the State for the Department of Human Services. This position maintains contracts with retail food and pharmacy vendors to ensure the availability of WIC foods throughout the State, and to minimize WIC vendor fraud and abuse through specialized training and technical assistance to vendors to enhance the quality of program services, to provide consultation in the development, implementation and ongoing management of WIC vendor/program integrity activities and initiatives; serves as a liaison between the Vendor Relations Coordinator and support staff in the interpretation of programs, policies or procedures; directs and conducts studies and investigations of problems in the section which affect operations and procedures; and communicates program function activities to WIC Retail Vendors in alignment with WIC state and federal policies and regulations. Implements management studies of program evaluation.
Essential Functions
- Serves as the Vendor Relations Specialist.
- Maintains contracts with retail food and pharmacy vendors to ensure the availability of WIC foods throughout the State, and to minimize WIC vendor fraud and abuse through specialized training and technical assistance to vendors to enhance the quality of program services, to provide consultation in the development, implementation and ongoing management of WIC vendor/program integrity activities and initiatives.
