In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy and completeness of capital asset reporting results for external, regulatory, and audit purposes. Combing your knowledge of business and Oracle systems, you’ll be the complex technical support to drive process optimization and promote organizational change through continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration is key as you work closely with Technology & Information Services (TIS), Sustainment, Capital Asset, and Financial Reporting teams to coordinate system enhancements, ledger management, and subledger updates. Supporting partner business needs while enforcing company policies and regulatory standards will be an essential part of your role.

What you will do:

• Independently assess, exercise good judgement and accurately resolve complex issues encountered in the performance of job duties.
• Prepare and review quarterly footnotes and capital asset schedules for financial reporting.
• Perform ad-hoc reporting on capital assets when needed.
• Develop system solutions to streamline reporting requirements in coordination with other Capital Assets teams.
• Collaborate with other Capital Assets teams for their support in preparation of financials.
• Maintain a sound understanding of Enbridge’s legal entity, Line of Business (LOB) and Operating Unit (OU) structure.
• Gain an adequate understanding of various commercial agreements that have an impact on capital.

Who you are:

You have:

• 6+ years of proven experience in an accounting environment with advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting for capital assets in addition to a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• A proactive approach while being skilled in anticipating problems before they arise and implementing solutions

You can:

• Share knowledge, experience and deliver training with all team members in a non-biased manner while also providing coaching, direction and review of work performed
• Offer advanced Excel skills, in-depth Power BI or modeling skills along with the ability to be very organized and capable of balancing multiple priorities independently with both non-routine or complex assignments

You are:

• An outstanding written and verbal communicator who can communicate in a clear, concise and organized manner based on the targeted level within the company while also showing your outstanding interpersonal skills combined with a business results mentality

The following are considered assets:

• CPA or similar professional designation
• FERC reporting experience
• Oracle subledger reporting knowledge

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
