We are seeking a Teaching Assistant. The core responsibilities of Teaching Assistants are tutoring students, assisting with class paperwork, and teaching the class as requested by the instructor.
*Note - This position is not benefits-eligible. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Tutor students.
- Promptly respond to student inquiries regarding grades, assignments, course material, and additional as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as notetaking, and photocopying.
- Help to ensure that the class runs smoothly.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and web-based applications like Box.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
- High level of comfort with technology and the online course format.
- Strong knowledge of the content area for specific courses.
- Strong knowledge of research methodology, learning sciences, learning theory, or other theories of Learning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Completed Master’s Degree in related field strongly preferred.
- Prior teaching experience in the relevant course content area preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in education or related field.
- College-level coursework in the discipline with a GPA of 3.2 or better.
- Post-Bac alumni preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $19.75 - $27.50 - $35.35 HRLY ($38,025.00 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: 5 hrs per week, days vary
