Material Handler/Facilities Technician

Join us at Alstom as a Material Control/Facilities Technician, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Newark.

Main Tasks: 

• Physically handles materials; loading, unloading, sorting, packing, issuing, and counting of assets.  Pulls materials per policy, fuels/inspects company vehicles, delivers items as necessary and maintains/creates kits as required.  Also, supports site emergency procedures as necessary. 
• Strictly adheres to shipping and receiving policy:  examining incoming/outgoing shipment contents and comparing to invoice documentation (such as manifests, invoices, or requisitions). 

Identifies materials (Tools, equipment or consumables) and assigns the appropriate part numbers and locations for storage as necessary utilizing the IBM Maximo Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS).  Handles weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cycle counts of assets
