ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Software Production Team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality gaming products. Responsible for the precise loading or "burning” game software onto physical media, such as discs, USB drives, and other gaming hardware, this team is integral to the production process. Comprised of individuals with a sharp eye for detail, a strong sense of organization, and a dedication to accuracy, the team ensures that every product meets the highest standards before distribution. In their day-to-day operations, the Software Technicians collaborate closely with various teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and IT, to guarantee that the software is efficiently and correctly prepared for customer delivery.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Technician to join our gaming production team. This role involves the process of loading or "burning" game software onto physical media such as discs, USB drives, or other gaming hardware. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to follow detailed instructions, and ensure that game software is accurately and efficiently burned onto the appropriate media for distribution. This is a critical role in delivering high-quality gaming products to our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Under supervision from the lead, execute the software burning process using specialized tools and equipment to load game software onto physical media (discs, USB drives, cartridges, etc.).
- Monitor the burning process to ensure data is transferred correctly and efficiently.
- Being able to label and identify each piece of software equipment.
- Perform testing of burned media to verify software integrity and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the burning process to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that burned media meets company standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain documentation of burned software batches for tracking and inventory purposes.
- Manage and organize blank media, software files, and related materials to ensure availability for production needs.
- Keep detailed records of software versions, batches, and hardware used.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure an uninterrupted supply of media and materials.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or work experience in lieu
- Technical ability
- Familiarity with gaming software and hardware is a strong advantage.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and file transfers.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to read and perform basic math functions
- Ability to work within a team and individually
- Good eye-hand coordination
- The ability to use various hand tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Maintain a reliable attendance record
- Ability to take ownership of work product
