Harborview's Medical Respite Program (Edward Thomas House Medical Respite) has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse.

Department Summary
Harborview's Medical Respite Program (Edward Thomas House Medical Respite) is a program that provides recuperative care to people experiencing homelessness who are too sick to return to the shelter or streets, but do not require a hospital level of care.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Screen and triage referrals from King County hospitals for Medical Respite admission
- Coordinate with referring facilities and Respite staff to complete referral documentation
- Determine patient eligibility for admission
- Facilitate and coordinate patient transfers to the Respite program
- Demonstrate strong multitasking, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Provide direct nursing care within the clinic setting as needed
- Perform wound care and PICC line management
- Support case management activities in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (including wound care, PICC line management, and case management)
- At least 1 year of experience working with homeless and/or safety-net populations
