Production Technician -Bindery Operator

The Pioneer Group, a Hearst Newspaper Company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Production Technician - Bindery Operator to support the printing of four daily newspapers as well as commercial web offset printing. This is a day shift role and when not running a stitcher you will be trained on Ink Jet Mailing, and Inserter machine operation. 

Responsibilities

• Muller-Martini Saddle stitcher machine operation
• Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, 
• Machine repair
• Cross-training and staff scheduling
• Packaging, and skid loading 

Qualifications

• high school diploma.
• 1+ years’ experience operating a Stitcher-Trimmer
• Current hold or able to obtain a forklift license.
• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting.
• A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong math skills
• Team player and crew leadership
