Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has an Operations Manager role available in Livermore, CA!The Operations Manager will oversee both local and cross dock operations. This role requires a strategic leader with experience in high-volume distribution, change management, leadership development, and leading high-performance teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating ambiguity and driving business initiatives that support our rapid growth and operational excellence.
Salary: $110,000 - $115,000/yr.

Responsibilities
You will:
- Lead with vision, strategically managing the warehouse in compliance with company policies and vision. Develop a cross-functional team to tackle operational challenges and lead the complete rebuild of operations, ensuring a seamless transition and improvement. Guide managers through culture shifts utilizing a strong change management background.
- Achieve productivity targets and ensure all warehouse processes run efficiently and promptly. Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize operations and utilize high levels of organizational skills to enhance re-slotting the building.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure smooth operations and strong relationships. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements. Commit to a strong safety program and adherence to protocols. Maintain high-level housekeeping standards.
- Oversee receiving and warehousing operations, setup layout, ensure efficient space utilization, control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data, and manage stock control.
- Partner with Human Resources and Safety to initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
- Participate in annual budget planning and management. Manage budget to achieve financial goals. Monitor team performance and productivity against key performance indicators and standards; provide feedback.
- Plan work, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Recommend staffing and workload levels.
- Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees, developing strong people skills in subordinates to manage staff effectively.
- Produce regular reports and statistics.
- Manage transportation teams, including trucks and drivers where appropriate
- Ensure efficient unloading, receiving, hauling, and stocking incoming inventory to avoid product backups. Verify incoming inventory reports and relay findings.
- Analyze patterns and identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements. Apply Lean methodologies and tools.
- Ensure adherence to operational policies and quality control standards.
- Collaborate closely with General Manager and other functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Sales, and Loss Prevention to optimize operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Promote company values and ethics.
- Foster a culture of respect and belonging. Empower associates to act in the best interest of the company and customers.
Qualifications
You have:
- 7+ years in warehouse management, including 4+ years as a Warehouse Manager. Experience in high-velocity distribution centers and wholesale distribution.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices. Proven ability to implement process improvements.
- Strong understanding of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Experience with warehouse management software and databases.
- Exceptional leadership skills and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Skills in safety management, surveillance, and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills.
- BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean concepts. P&L experience is a plus.
