K-5 Curriculum Designer (Part-Time / REMOTE)

Our primary offering is a subscription service where we deliver "whoa awesome," hands-on projects to kids. We also manage an e-commerce storefront and a content platform to inspire and educate. Our office is located in Mountain View, CA within walking distance to the Caltrain station. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with 3-4 office days per week (depending on your team) and the remainder of the week working remotely.

About the Job:

We’re seeking a passionate educator with a strong background in K-5 math and literacy intervention, committed to creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences. This part-time role (8-30+ hours per week), running from March to June 2025, involves developing lesson plans and assessments to support student growth and achievement. This position can be fully remote.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and design curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials to meet learning objectives and educational standards for elementary school students
• Incorporate KiwiCo activities into the lesson plans to facilitate learning and student engagement
• Design assessments aligned to KiwiCo’s hands-on approach that assess learning outcomes and progress to educational standards achievement

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience teaching in the classroom, after-school programs, supplementary learning programs, or with K-5th grade children in another capacity; teaching credential (preferred)
• Proficiency in creating engaging and effective learning experiences
• Experience in Reading and Math Recovery in PreK-6th grades
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently, to meet the delivery deadlines

 

The starting pay range for this position is between $25 and $35 per hour. However, the final hourly rate offered may differ based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
