As Senior Sustainability Manager, you will be the key player in elevating the commercial sustainability agenda in Arla Denmark. Partner with our Managing Director and influence Danish directions for commercial sustainability.

 

How you will make an impact

Sustainability is a focal pilar of Arla’s corporate strategy, and as our Senior Sustainability Manager, you will play a central role in lifting the commercial sustainability agenda in Denmark to a more strategic level by commercializing our opportunities and efforts together with our Danish customers and key stakeholders.

 

You will report to the Managing Director of Arla Denmark, where you will play a sustainability business partner role, leading the sustainability agenda in Arla Denmark and bridging global ambitions with local plans. In this role, you will be driving our internal and external sustainability voice, involved in developing  key commercial sustainability concepts and solutions, and you will secure commitment and deployment with your key stakeholders in the Danish market and with our customers. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Develop and drive the Arla Denmark Sustainability Plan
• Drive the FarmAhead customer sustainability programme and secure buy in and close collaboration with our Danish customers in Retail and Foodservice
• Identify and leverage best practices in commercializing sustainability in Denmark
• Be a leader and mentor to the Commercial Sustainability Manager in Arla Denmark
• Support internal stakeholders with sustainability initiatives
• Drive sustainability training and engagement in Arla Denmark
• Support the Managing Director of Arla Denmark regarding sustainability matters
• Promote Arla's reputation for sustainability externally
• Being an ambassador for sustainability in Arla Denmark and collaborate closely with the global sustainability team
• Represent Arla Denmark in relevant external forums

Your strategic mindset and ability to demonstrate leadership and engage your stakeholders enable you to get all relevant players onboard. You are a brilliant project manager and change agent and know how to create commitment and followership across teams, stakeholders and senior leaders.

 

Furthermore:

 

• You bring some years of experience working with sustainability in the FMCG industry
• You are an experienced project manager
• You possess solid commercial acumen
• You like working in a matrix across markets and understand how to get the best out of it
• You may or may not have experience in a leadership role. If not, you are ready to take on this new and exciting challenge
• You have a relevant degree at Master’s level, e.g. within business
• You have an excelle
