We are looking for a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team and lead the transformation of a legacy Java-based platform into a modern cloud-native, AI-native platform. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned engineer who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring others in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

 

In this role, you will serve as a technical leader across platform, infrastructure, security, and data teams to architect and deliver foundational platform capabilities. You will define the technical direction for scalability, reliability, security, and developer productivity across the platform. You will lead the adoption of modern technologies and architectural patterns involving hyperscalers, APIs, service mesh, messaging frameworks, data platforms, GPUs, agents, and MCP-based services.

 

This is an ideal role for an engineer who wants to shape the technical vision and strategy for the systems and tooling that power modern enterprise platforms.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and architect the modernization of a legacy Java-based platform into a cloud-native and AI-native architecture
  • Define technical strategy and design patterns for shared platform capabilities across data, roles, permissions, security, infrastructure, and service communication
  • Architect and own platform services involving API gateways, service mesh, feature flags, secrets management, and service discovery
  • Drive technical decisions and set standards across platform capabilities such as Vault, Consul, database frameworks, messaging systems, and integration services
  • Design and architect event-driven and messaging patterns using technologies such as Kafka at enterprise scale
  • Lead platform infrastructure strategy for modern AI workloads, including infrastructure patterns related to GPUs, agents, and MCP-connected services
  • Own end-to-end integration architecture with Databricks and enterprise data platforms
  • Define and enforce access control, security patterns, configuration management, and platform reliability standards
  • Lead the development of internal tooling, documentation, and reusable frameworks that improve the developer experience across the organization
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; conduct design reviews and drive engineering excellence
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, data, and application engineering
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical platform services

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You are a technical leader who drives clarity in ambiguous situations and raises the bar for engineering quality.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or developer platforms
  • Expert proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs, microservices architecture, system design, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
  • Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments
  • Strong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems with high availability requirements
