Infrastructure Operations Engineer - Enterprise Storage and Backups

Duties & Responsibilities:
Work horizontally across the Infrastructure and Operations portfolio supporting private/public cloud systems, operating systems, middleware, storage, database platforms, and other key infrastructure products.
Develop repeatable automation to efficiently deliver capabilities.
Drive solutions to problems impacting mission critical systems and implement automation to prevent reoccurrence.
Execute changes on production systems in accordance with Change Management standards.
Support and implement private cloud HCI components.
Work in a Center of Excellence for cloud usage and cloud development standards.
Maintain an accurate picture of existing server, storage, networking software and hardware and virtual environments to support scaling against various project requirements.
Ensure all usage of cloud environments meets governance standards and contributes to improving standards for security and operational efficiency.
Create standard operating procedures for Healthfirst operations teams to support the operations of the products.
Act as an escalation point for operations teams for incident and ticket resolution and participate in an on-call rotation as an escalation point.

Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or a GED from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise storage, backup, or infrastructure engineering
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with Rubrik or enterprise level backup tool (implementation, administration, and troubleshooting)
- Experience supporting production environments in medium to large enterprises
- Experience with data protection, disaster recovery, and backup strategies
Experience in designing, building, and managing Linux/Unix-based and Windows systems.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) with expanding knowledge in other cloud hosting solutions.
Working knowledge of core cloud competencies and environment management.
Automation scripting experience in at least one of the following languages: BASH, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible.
Experience identifying repeatable processes and working with operations team to automate/document.
Preferred Qualifications:
A technical degree from an accredited institution or work experience equivalent.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
Virtualization and/or Hyper-Converged Certification.
Experience working within a Cloud Center of Excellence and driving business innovation.
Experience implementing Cloud Services with an Infrastructure as code methodology using Cloud formation, Ansible, or Terraform.
Experience supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) delivery.
Understanding of cloud security best practices and implementing a least privileged model of access in AWS.
Troubleshooting skills that involve analysis of logs, traffic trace, configuration data, automation tools to resolve issues until end-to-end systems are functioning.
Experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker.
Experience working with development teams to create cloud-native applications.
Experience with system health monitoring and optimizing performance
Experience working in regulated and/or high-security environments and industries (PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.).
