About the Role:
The Program Management Office (PMO) ensures the successful execution of key cross functional initiatives of the company through effective program management. PMO Program Managers drive cross functional initiatives that are top priority for PitchBook. The PMO also helps scale execution at PitchBook by providing the following services; establish guidelines and best practices for program management in the company through a center of excellence model; establish a program management community within Pitchbook that allows program managers across the company to collaborate, learn and share execution best practices; provides visibility into overall performance of strategic initiatives; orchestrates strategic planning processes of the company.
PitchBook’s Sr. Program Manager, Enterprise Programs drives strategic cross functional initiatives for the company. This role ensures that cross functional teams are driving towards defined program milestones and deliverables, removing bottlenecks, escalating risks/issues as needed, providing visibility to progress and ensuring effective collaboration across teams. Specifically, this role will lead PitchBook’s multiyear Salesforce roadmap to provide better visibility to revenue pipeline and forecasting by improving its customer quote and billing process.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Program Manager for the Salesforce Quote to Cash and SOX initiatives responsible for leading the discovery, planning, scoping and implementation
- Work closely with key stakeholders, program and project sponsors and cross-functional teams to plan, scope and identify deliverables, required resources and timing for new initiatives
- Build a robust and achievable project plan by driving the forecasting/estimation techniques and hold the team accountable to meet key committed deliverables
- Define clear goals, prioritize work and use data to drive crisp decisions in partnership with stakeholders
- Ensure that requirements are established for the initiative
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues and conflicts affecting goal achievement and escalate it if necessary
- Manage cross-team dependencies, align roadmaps and unblock teams. Support planning activities that identify dependencies
- Keep the team, sponsors and relevant stakeholders informed on progress to goal
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of program status using tools recommended by the PMO to organize, track and manage programs
- Implement structure order and clarity to ambiguous problems with little direction or oversight
- Implement and adapt best practices established and recommended by the PMO
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of professional work experience with 3+ years of project or program management
- Experience program managing cross-functional programs for an organization with a strong understanding of program management fundamentals
- Program management experience leading Salesforce enterprise resource planning implementations from start to finish
- An understanding of Finance & Revenue Operations processes and SOX controls is preferred
- Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
- Create decisions by utilizing data and metrics
- Able to effectively manage ambiguity and competing priorities and help teams prioritize and focus
- Have a self motivated and goal oriented attitude and work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills and comfortable engaging with a diverse array of audiences
- Able to work across multiple teams and stakeholders at all levels of sen
