Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an Assistant Professor to join a dynamic and collaborative academic team within its expanding Behavioral Health Service Line. This full-time faculty position offers opportunities to contribute across clinical care, teaching, research, and service, with effort distribution and academic track tailored to support individual career development goals.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to provide care across a variety of settings, including outpatient, inpatient, consultation-liaison services, and specialized programs such as Women’s Mental Health, Trauma, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addictions. Both traditional and virtual care delivery models are available.

Qualifications:

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Must be ABPN-certified or eligible for certification in psychiatry, with the expectation of becoming certified in accordance with the UAMS bylaws. 
• Eligibility for and subsequent success in obtaining an unrestricted Arkansas medical license, malpractice insurance, and credentialing by central Arkansas teaching hospitals are required.
