Director, Delivery Services – SAP S/4HANA

Reporting To

Vice President, Delivery Services (North America)

Location & Travel

• Primary Location: Flexible within North America; proximity to major airport preferred
• Travel: ~25 – 35 % (client sites, executive steering reviews, Argano leadership meetings)

Role Purpose

The Director, Delivery Services will own end-to-end delivery of multiple SAP S/4HANA programs, ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and reference-ready outcomes. Acting as the senior delivery leader, you will set engagement strategy, mobilize cross-functional teams, and govern execution excellence across Argano’s SAP consulting portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

AccountabilityCore Activities

Program Leadership • Serve as executive program director for concurrent SAP S/4 projects (greenfield, brownfield, and selective transformation). 
• Define delivery strategy, scope, timeline, and resource plan aligned to contractual, financial, and quality targets. Governance & Risk Management • Chair steering committees; present status, risks, and mitigation plans to C-suite stakeholders. 
• Enforce Argano’s PMO standards, stage-gates, and SAP Activate methodology. Financial Control • Own P&L for assigned portfolio (~$20-50 M annual). 
• Track burn rate, backlog conversion, change orders, and forecasting accuracy; drive gross-margin improvement. Team Leadership & Talent Development • Lead, mentor, and performance-manage project managers, solution architects, and functional leads (~50 – 80 consultants). 
• Champion a coaching culture and career pathways within the SAP practice. Quality & Customer Satisfaction • Ensure deliverables meet Argano quality standards and SAP best practices. 
• Achieve ≥ 90 % CSAT/NPS; cultivate reference clients and upsell opportunities. Methodology & Innovation • Continuously refine delivery playbooks, templates, and automation to shorten time-to-value. 
• Evangelize emerging SAP S/4 innovations (RISE, BTP, AI-enabled analytics) to clients and teams.  Candidate Specifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• 15 + years total SAP consulting experience; 8 + years leading large-scale ERP implementations.
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA delivery leadership (minimum two full-cycle programs > $10 M).
• Proven P&L ownership, contract management, and project financial governance.
• Deep expertise in SAP Activate, Agile/Hybrid delivery, and PMO best practices.
• Track record of building and leading high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RISE with SAP, S/4 private/public cloud, or selective data transition approaches.
• Consulting background within Big 4 or top-tier SI environment.
• PMP, PgMP, or SAP Certified Application Professional credentials.
• Familiarity with complementary technologies (BTP, CPI, SAC, GRC).
