We're responsible for Workday's comprehensive privacy program, ensuring that data privacy is woven into the fabric of our products, services, and operations. Our team works cross-functionally, serving as trusted advisors to help Workmates navigate complex privacy landscapes and implement best practices, ultimately safeguarding personal data.<p></p><p><b>About the Role</b></p><p></p><p><b>Senior Privacy Counsel</b></p><p></p><p><span>Do you want to </span><b>shape the future</b><span> of enterprise cloud solutions? Our relationships with customers are built on trust, which is why we've established a world-leading privacy program dedicated to protecting individuals' personal data.</span></p><p></p><p><span>We're expanding our </span><b>EMEA Privacy Team</b><span> and are looking for a talented and experienced privacy attorney to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to provide innovative and effective privacy advice to our business, product, and sales teams. This position reports directly to the Head of EMEA Privacy and can be based in one of our European corporate offices in Dublin, London, Munich, or Paris.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Your Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Serve as the primary privacy counsel for Eastern Europe, providing expert guidance tailored to the region.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Monitor and analyze developments in global privacy laws and regulations, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe, and advise on their potential impact to Workday's business.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with applicable global privacy laws and best practices.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate closely with our EMEA Go-to-Market legal team, supporting the drafting and negotiation of complex privacy-related agreements in customer negotiations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide strategic legal counsel to the Product & Technology Legal team on privacy-by-design principles and data protection implications for new and existing products and services.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop, maintain, and provide expert advice on data processing agreements, data transfer mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses), and other contractual arrangements involving personal data.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Develop and deliver engaging privacy training and awareness programs to employees across the organization.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring privacy considerations are seamlessly integrated throughout the organization.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data privacy and security.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>About You</b></p><p></p><p><b><b>Basic Qualifications</b></b></p><ul><li><p><b><b>Fully qualified attorney</b><span> </span></b><span>with a European law degree.</span></p></li><li><p><b><b>6+ post qualification years of privacy experience</b><
