Are you someone who loves working outdoors and takes pride in keeping spaces safe and well-maintained? We’re looking for a Groundskeeper-General Maintenance Worker to join our team! In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving our grounds and facilities, operating power tools and landscaping equipment, and performing minor repairs as needed. From landscaping and snow removal to painting, carpentry, and basic electrical or plumbing fixes, your work will help keep our spaces functional and welcoming.
You’ll also assist with general remodeling, maintain roadways and parking lots, and deliver supplies as needed. In some cases, you may even transport clients or staff. What will my day-to-day responsibilities look like?
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to keep our grounds and facilities in top shape! You’ll start by mowing lawns, trimming and edging around trees and buildings, and keeping flower beds neat and free of weeds. Regular litter removal, sweeping, and raking ensure the property remains clean and welcoming.
You'll also maintain and repair tools, equipment, and structures, using both hand and power tools to complete minor fixes. In the winter, you’ll operate snow blowers, tractors, and shovels to keep pathways clear, spreading sand and salt as needed. Safe application of chemicals for landscaping will also be part of your role, following all safety protocols.
Beyond groundskeeping, you'll assist in facility upkeep, completing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, and ensuring equipment and furnishings remain in safe, operable condition. You’ll also play a role in health and safety initiatives, participating in safety committees and providing training to residential staff on facility maintenance and safety protocols. At times, you may also drive a vehicle to transport clients and staff.

What do I need to be successful in this position?

Physical Capability – Ability to stand, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds, as well as kneel or squat for extended periods.

Education & Age Requirement – Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Driver’s License – Must have a valid driver’
