Job Specific Summary
In this exciting role as a Equipment Maintenance Technician supporting Peripheral Vascular Stent Manufacturing, you will have responsibility for supporting manufacturing of high-quality components used in implantable medical devices. The Plymouth facility supports the design, development, and production of components used in implantable devices for a variety of Medtronic businesses.

This role will support multiple pieces of semi-automated and automated equipment, including but not limited to, ILT Laser Systems, Coherent Laser Systems, Rofin Laser Systems, Keyence automated measurement systems, closed loop wet cut systems, robotics/HMIs/PLCs and more. The core responsibilities of this role is maintaining equipment uptime, drive targeted KPIs, completing preventive maintenance and support other continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires you to be onsite Monday through Friday, providing you the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.

  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.

  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.

  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.

  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.

  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile. 

  • Requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).

Nice to Have

  • Strong grasp of laser processing and secondary operations

  • Experience with laser sources and workstations

  • Experience with laser analysis tools; IR puck, power meter, beam profiler, etc.

  • Experience with medical device cleaning standards, ISO13485, and GMP

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
