What You Will Achieve
As the Cell Culture Technical Associate, you will be at the center of our operations in our state-of-the-art laboratories and everything you will do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will join the Cell Culture Technologies Team in the Clinical Immunology and Diagnostics (CID) group within Pfizer’s Vaccines division. You will have the important role to maintain equipment, laboratory spaces, and prepare reagents in a regulated GxP setting in support of multiple vaccine programs. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge.
How You Will Achieve It
Perform a variety of tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, which adhere to GxP and other regulatory requirements. These tasks include but are not limited to reagent preparation, periodic equipment maintenance (e.g., cleaning and autoclaving), inventory management, and maintenance of lab consumables.
Document lab work utilizing Good Documentation Practices.
Stay current on all departmental and corporate training.
Adhere to schedule and perform other activities, as assigned.
Qualifications
Must Have
Associate's degree in biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Laboratory Science or a related field. with 2-4 years of work experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software
Basic understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures
Computer literacy and Microsoft Windows/Office 365 experience.
Nice to Have
Experience working in a regulated GxP laboratory setting.
Experience managing equipment.
Experience with aseptic technique.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed at the laboratory bench or at an office desk using a computer.
The job involves lifting loads, generally not more than 10 pounds.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
This position may require an occasional non-standard work schedule.
Ability to adhere to safe work practices in a laboratory environment.
