Brown & Brown is Seeking a Small Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Maitland, FL!

The Small Commercial Lines Account Manager will provide support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts.

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Enter all required data into agency management system to maintain current file data on all assigned accounts.

  • Maintain client files per agency guidelines as established by the company’s carriers.

  • Prepare exposure checklist on renewal accounts indicating coverage in force and known exposures.

  • Prepare renewal submissions including all attachments and supplements; work closely with Marketing Department during renewal process.

  • Write additional lines of coverage (flood, wind etc.) as needed.

  • Prepare, review and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations.

  • Validate coverages and premiums charges on policies, endorsements, audits and cancellations.

  • Prepare policies for delivery to insured; deliver to insured as required.

  • Maintain follow up (diary) system for correspondence and requests.

  • Prepare premium billings and invoices on timely basis. Reconcile agency bill items for insured as necessary to collect premium.

  • Maintain knowledge of various carriers’ rating plans and programs.

  • Review property and casualty losses with producer and client as needed.

  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating.

  • Receive claim information and forward to appropriate carrier.

  • Maintain active suspense file on all claims until closed.

Licenses and Certifications:  

  • 2-20 Property and Casualty license

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and prioritizing skills

  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude

  • Experience with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel)

  • Three to five years of insurance experience is preferred working with clients

  • Working knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight
