Tax Senior Expert

(temporary contract)

This position will report to the Regional Tax Manager and will support the execution of activities related to financial statement tax accounting and income tax compliance.  The aim of the Regional Tax Team is to ensure Zoetis meets all the income tax compliance and reporting requirements of each of the countries covered by it in the Europe and Middle East region.

Responsibilities:

• Calculation of the quarterly and year-end financial statement tax accounting submissions for the countries covered by the Regional Tax Center including calculating the current provision, deferred tax, reconciliation of income taxes payable accounts and tax account rollforwards for multiple legal entities, calculation of the return to provision adjustments.

• Monitor activities related to income tax compliance for entities within region, including gathering of data and information needs, to ensure the timely completion of income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions prepared by external advisor.

• Assist in providing tax support for countries covered by the Regional Tax Center in conjunction with local external advisors.

• Assist in providing support for income tax authority audits / queries for countries within covered region and providing updates on the status of audits and potential issues and exposures.

• Monitor escalated issues, discrepancies and queries and ensure timely resolution.

• Gather, organize and efficiently use data from general ledger for the tax accounting process.

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance/ Accounting/ Taxes or related

• US GAAP and IFRS knowledge.

• 6+ years of relevant experience with an emphasis on accounting, tax reporting and compliance.

• Good organization, communication and planning skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a dynamic environment. Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and with various stakeholders.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Ability to apply and improve procedures and processes and to ensure quality and efficiency in work product of team.

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

• Knowledge of SAP

• Experience in Irish income tax will be a strong asset.
