About the role

Experienced inpatient coder for a trauma level 1 acute care hospital. Must be experienced in coding multispecialties in for both medical and surgical cases.  Specialties include but are not limited to: cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, neurosurgery, neurology, pulmonology, infectious disease, OB/GYN, pediatrics, neonatal, ENT, endocrinology, gastrointestinal, general medicine and general surgery.  Must be experienced with Epic and 3M 360.  Schedule for training is 1-2 weeks between 8a and 4p EST.  After training the schedule can be more flexible within reason.  Candidates will need to pass a coding assessment test. 

  1. Trauma level 1 Hospital 
  2. Experienced in coding multispecialties in for both medical and surgical cases.
  3. Experienced with Epic and 3M 360.  
  4. Able to make training schedule of  1-2 weeks between 8a and 4p EST.  
  5. Able to pass a coding assessment test. 
  6. Able to pick up new workflows and technology easily
  7. Able to ramp up productivity in 4 weeks
  8. Maintain 95% accuracy in all coding
  9. Good written and verbal communication
