BACKGROUND

Purpose of Activity/ Assignment:

Under supervision of the Health Specialist (Adolescent Health, Mental Health, School Health) the Adolescent Health Consultant will provide support reporting, analysis, planning, and documentation within the Maternal Newborn Adolescent Health Unit. This includes implementation, monitoring, and reporting on adolescent and mental health program partnerships with AstraZeneca, Z-Zurich, and SONY. The consultant provides support around coordination and communication with Regional and Country teams, as well as implementation and reporting of achievements according to partnership agreements in 17 UNICEF countries.

Scope of Work:

•           Implementation and Monitoring Support:

o          Assist with review and consolidation of annual workplans from country and regional offices under AstraZeneca, Zurich Foundation, and SONY partnerships.

o          Track regional and country level implementation progress and compile updates for internal monitoring.

o          Support alignment of activities across different partnership with technical guidance from Health Specialist.

•           Coordination and Reporting:

o          Help coordinate inputs from cross-sectoral teams (CP, Education, WASH, DAPM, DGCA ADAP), regional, and country offices for annual reporting and proposal development/partnership renewals.

o          Support documentation and technical validation process of adolescent health and mental health program tools (i.e. WHO-UNICEF child and adolescent mental health training package for PHC providers).

•           Capacity Building and Knowledge Management:

o          Assist in organizing and documenting capacity-building activities for regional and country teams on adolescent health, mental health, and NCD prevention.

o          Contribute to the development of knowledge products (case studies, technical briefs) by compiling content, reviewing drafts, and coordinating inputs.

o          Support peer learning and exchange events through content collation and communications.
