THE JOB:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Culinary Utility team member to join our Employee Dining Room kitchen team. A Culinary Utility team member is responsible for preparing ingredients and performing basic cooking tasks to assist chefs in delivering high-quality meals. Duties include washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients, organizing workstations, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.

THE STARTING RATE: $16.21

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Prepare foods according to assignment by the Sous Chef or Restaurant Chef

• Transport food products from production kitchens to restaurants or other food holding areas in a timely fashion

• Move food from holding boxes to the front-line steam tables and cold bins for use by internal and external guests

• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas throughout the meal period or working shift

• Return unused food items to overnight storage or other proper recovery areas according to established procedures

• Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an  accident report in the event an accident occurs

• Ensure the food prep areas and related floor areas are properly clean and safe at all times from any spills or mess

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Six months or more experience in food production/preparation in a high-volume restaurant preferred
