We are currently seeking a part-time Certified Peer Support Specialist. Candidates must possess a Peer Support Specialist Certificate or be willing to obtain one by January 2025.

Compensation:
$18.50 per hour

Work Schedule:
This position offers a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-person responsibilities within the local Oxford community. Duties may include participation in community events, healthcare facilities, or other local organizations.

Additionally, the Mindfully Academy offers training in various modalities and specializations, including DBT, EMDR/Trauma, child/adolescent care, substance use disorder, couples therapy, IFS, Emotion Focused therapy, Gottman methods, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Connect with each new client and coordinate ongoing sessions.
• Provide peer support services through one-on-one interactions and group sessions.
• Empower clients to realize and pursue their hopes, dreams, and recovery goals.
• Assist clients in articulating and achieving their personal recovery goals.
• Offer resources and support to help clients reach their objectives.
• Collaborate with clients and their providers (case managers, social workers, therapists) to outline actionable steps toward service plan goals.
• Help clients identify and address fears, combat negative self-talk, and develop self-advocacy skills.
• Model the importance of individual recovery experiences.
• Demonstrate effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
• Identify and build upon clients' strengths, needs, and abilities.
• Teach problem-solving strategies while celebrating client progress and learning.
• Document services and codes in client medical records promptly and accurately.
• Maintain personal recovery and uphold HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
• Identify areas where additional support is needed, seek help, and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
• Prepare reports related to caseload, peer support capacity, and quality.
• Collaborate on the development of new content and curriculum for client channels.
• Assist in launching peer support programs for new or existing client channels.
• Support the planning and execution of strategic projects as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an Ohio Certificate for Peer Support or Peer Recovery.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to work in Oxford, OH.
