Mechanic 1, Full Time, Days

Overview

Job Summary 

Inspects, report malfunctions, and makes minor repairs to equipment and physical facilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

General cleaning of equipment/spaces/buildings/grounds.

Completion of work orders, PM’s and other records.

Building component installation/maintenance/repair.

Accept and complete additional duties as assigned.

Respond to fire and other emergencies.

Participates in helping with all department activities as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

 

Education: HS/GED required. Technical training in a health care environment on equipment and utilities preferred.

 

Experience: One year experience or comparable combination of education and experience in maintenance preferred.

 

Additional Skills/Abilities: 

Knowledge of safety codes.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to use hand and power tools.

Ability to maintain records. 

Must posses a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
