ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Completes ALL required assignments. This includes but is not limited to classwork, homework, and on-line training. Adheres to all class guidelines and policies.
  • Be present in class every day and arrive on time
  • Works well with others as part of a cohesive team. Maintains professional appearance and attitude. Proficiently performs all required skills.
  • Learns to understand and follow departmental policies, rules, and instructions.
  • Always communicates effectively and professionally.
  • Must pass the CHHA test within two attempts for the Home Health Intern to advance to the Home Health Resident position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Experience: Patient care experience preferred.
  • Other Credentials: AHA Heartsaver AED,Drivers License
  • Knowledge and Skills: Possesses a friendly demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Medical experience preferred.
  • Special Training: Required to sit for Home Health Aide certification upon completion of course.
  • Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Develops strong interpersonal relationships with coworkers and resident base.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Frequent physical demands include: Sitting , Walking , Carry objects , Push/Pull , Twisting , Bending , Reaching forward , Reaching overhead , Squat/kneel/crawl , Wrist position deviation , Pinching/fine motor activities
  • Occasional physical demands include: Standing , Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders) , Keyboard use/repetitive motion
  • Continuous physical demands include:
  • Lifting Floor to Waist 30 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 30 lbs.
  • Sensory Requirements include: Accurate Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Accurate Color Discrimination, Accurate Depth Perception, Accurate Hearing
  • Anticipated Occupational Exposure Risks Include the following: Bloodborne Pathogens , Airborne Communicable Disease , Extreme Temperatures , Uneven Surfaces or Elevations
