About the role
This shift will work Monday – Friday, 6AM – 4:30PM.
The role of the Manufacturing Technician is to provide both the technical and operational skills needed to deliver world class results in the key areas of Line Efficiencies, Quality, and Cost while meeting our high standards of Safety, Customer Service, and Teamwork.
Your responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, set up, adjust, maintain & overhaul various types packaging equipment with the ability to read & understand equipment drawings & blueprints
- Follows all applicable Safety Rules and policies including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), HAZCOM, Process Safety, Lock Out/Tag Out and emergency action
- Follows work instruction and insures adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Follows all applicable waste, scrap reduction and recycling guidelines.
- Achieves required OEE levels on assigned packaging line(s)
- Performs Statistical Process Control Charting and takes appropriate corrective action
- Trains new operators and temps as needed
- Works effectively in a Team based work environment
The experience we're looking for
- Experience operating a Packaging Line and related equipment including startup, clearing jams, manual operations and shutdown
- Experience assisting in changeovers, wash outs and preventative maintenance
- Experience with troubleshooting and adjustments to maximize run time
- Experience using computers for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Must have a high school degree or GED equivalent
- Must have strong communication skills and command of English, both verbal and written
- Technical, mechanical, and/or electrical experience operating and maintaining operating line equipment is desired including experience with small hand or power tools
- Lifting requirements up to 50lbs
