Job Summary

Position is responsible for supporting monthly, quarterly and annual performance analysis, the coordination and development of budgets (earnings, cash flows and resources) and the development and coordination of management reporting packages for Vistra Retail Financial Planning and Analysis. Position will also be responsible for reviewing competitive intel, market dynamics, and other ad-hoc requests covering the retail electricity market.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Supporting financial performance analysis for Vistra Retail business units•Assist in coordinating and developing budgets (Earnings and Cash Flows for TXU Energy and Value Based Brands) •Providing ad hoc query responses for management questions •Developing and coordinating management reporting packages•Analyzing competitive market trends and competitors’ financial performance •Improving the financial analysis and planning process •Reviewing budgets and financial plans submitted by lines of business, and provide constructive feedback to businesses  •Solving problems that require constructive thinking/imaginative approaches using data driven analysis•Display willingness to occasionally work long, irregular hours in order to meet deadlines

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field. •Should have 1 or more years of experience as a Financial Analyst•Working knowledge of key financial, accounting and business metrics•Ability to perform well in a team environment, including sharing information and assisting others to meet monthly deadlines•Must be very proficient utilizing Excel and PowerPoint. •Must be comfortable creating and developing presentations to managers and other stakeholders•Good analytical and problem solving skills

Key Metrics

•Ensure continuous improvement through performing of routine monitoring, quality assurance and process improvement•Ensure consistent administration of employee discipline and practices consulting with HR as necessary
