Job Description

We are looking for a Mid - Senior level Software Developer in Test (SDET, Manual/Automated, Java) IV to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure the reliability and excellence of our software products through automated testing. Your work will directly impact the user experience and our ability to meet market demands. Our ideal candidate possesses experience with web-based APIs, Manual, and Automated testing using Java, Cucumber and Selenium, and also, enjoys collaborating with developers and other team members. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote and will be a W-2 Hourly 3-month contract with possible extension. 

The hourly rate is $ 69/hr. – $ 73/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, trainings, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and user stories.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and scripting languages.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and identify defects to ensure software quality.
• Contribute to test planning, strategy development, and comprehensive test coverage.
• Maintain test data and environments to ensure the reproducibility of automated test cases.
• Create and update test documentation, including test plans, automated test cases, and defect reports.
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or similar. Or equivalent work experience.
• 5 - 8 years of overall QA testing experience.
• Must have Manual and Automated testing experience.
• Experience with API testing.
• JAVA experience is required.
• Experience with test tools and frameworks (Cucumber and Selenium).
• 5+ years of QA and testing experience in an agile environment using the scrum framework.
• Ability to function well within their team, working with POs, BAs, developers, and other team members.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, with a high standard of quality. 
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• The ability to quickly shift priorities and adapt to change.
