Job purpose 

Reporting to the HR Link Supervisor, the intern will be responsible for administrative support of our HR systems, coordination of HR projects/activities and interfacing with employees on program and policy questions.  The Intern will be exposed to a variety of HR functions within Total Rewards, HR Operations and HRIS systems.    

Key responsibilities 

• Supports the US Shared Service (HR Link) team by assisting with data maintenance in the HRIS, payroll, and other systems as needed. 

• Manages HR Link Outlook Inbox. 

• Coordinate wellness events and recognition team events. 

• Assist in audits to ensure complete accuracy and compliance within multiple HR systems. 

• Facilitates the New Hire benefit orientation and other benefit meetings. 

• Supports the Leave specialist with the disability leave process. 

• Acts as the first point of contact for employees' questions and concerns. Escalates to the Manager when needed. 

• Data analytics compilation from our Recognition and HRIS platforms. 

• Works across a variety of functions including, but not limited to: Benefits & Recognitions, Talent, HRIS, and Payroll. 

• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned or required. 

What we’re looking for 

BorgWarner US Shared Services (HR Link) is currently looking for a "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as an HR Intern.  Must be able to work 20-29 hours a week.    

• Undergraduate/Graduate full-time student attending an accredited university as a business major, with an interest in Human Resources 

• Minimum 3.0 GPA 

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint 

• Advantage if skilled in technology platforms like Canva, DocuSign.

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
