How you will contribute

• Maintenance of the site environmental, health and safety management systems and procedures, based upon legal, customer, and standard company requirements.
• Actively participate in the development of the site’s EHS program and the execution of that program and training programs.
• Responsible for the co-coordination of EHS risk assessment- & legal compliance audit- activities including record keeping and follow up.   
• Investigation coordination of EHS risk assessment, near miss and accident data, including record keeping of conclusions, actions & follow up. Proactively report on events and create dashboards and reporting on EHS information and KPI’s.
• Design, review and develop written environmental, health and safety procedures at a site level and provide direction, advice and counsel to managers, supervisors and employees regarding EHS and related best practices. Be at least 2.5 hours per day present on the floor to actively engage with operators and supervisors.
• Assessment of training activities on site environmental, health and safety procedures. Keep EHS related training records.
• Working with the operational teams to improve the working environment, reducing the impacts to the employee from operational activities
• Conducting internal EHS audits, workplace inspections and health & safety tours to the prescribed frequency.
• Proactively participate in the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) studies when new processes are introduced by giving inputs from a safety perspective; Perform Risk Assessments prior to go live with new equipment and processes and get proper signoffs.
• Follow up on the RI&E and make sure actions are tracked and closed.
• Maintain emergency preparedness and response; coordinator of the site BHV organization.
• Developing site EHS and training program. 
• Maintaining and improving the site environmental, health and safety management system.
• Review and investigate EHS failures, drive the implementation of Corrective and Preventative actions.
• Monitor & report site EHS performance to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintaining the internal site legal compliance EHS audit program.
  
   

What you will bring

• Medium (MVK) degree in safety science or acquired level through experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership, quality or engineering role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills, capable to do in depth analyses of safety incidents and hazards. Being able to develop clear rootcause analyses and improvement plans.
• Coaching skills
