Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and innovative Director of Technology Solutions to lead our Compliance technology transformation across multiple workstreams, including Communication Surveillance, Trade Surveillance, Anti-Money Laundering Transaction Surveillance, Regulatory Compliance Management, and Conduct Supervision. 

This is a cross-disciplinary role requiring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a strategic vision to align technology solutions with business objectives.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of business systems analysts, developers, and engineers against a road map of deliverables to transform the efficiency and effectiveness within these workstreams.  As a key member of Compliance leadership team, the candidate will play a critical role in managing risk, protecting the firm's reputation, and fostering a culture of technical and compliance excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with business, global control room, global trade surveillance, communication surveillance and supervisory stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Develop and execute technology strategies to support the business goals of the organization.
  • Work closely with product vendors to leverage their expertise and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program to address both business and regulatory requirements globally including data quality, completeness, and controls.
  • Provide overall technology leadership and guidance for the delivery team.
  • Manage a team of developers, architects, engineers, and QA resources by providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other technology teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems with other applications and workstreams.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies/trends and make recommendations for adoption.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, and proactively address any deviations.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends related to compliance technology.
  • Drive data strategy initiatives, ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance.
  • Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and promote a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders on technology initiatives, progress, and challenges.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in project/program delivery and development leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of design architecture related to both vendor and in-house products delivered in on-prem and/or cloud delivery models.
  • Hands-on experience with integration projects involving multiple systems and platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong background in the implementation of controls in a complex data driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in driving technology strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of data strategy, data governance, and data integration.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience in leading agile teams.
