Lynden Transport is looking for a Corporate Account Manager who manages Corporate Accounts, works with local Account Managers and other personnel as needed to develop and strengthen Corporate Account Relationships. Builds relationships and identifies transportation solutions for Corporate Accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leads by example, works hard and smart, building trust based relationships with corporate account customers. Is a team player and helps bring the best out of himself/herself and his/her peers while assisting customers, and while helping each other to be high achievers. Systematically works and builds Corporate Account Relationships, sets goals, has targets and strategies for achieving these goals. Works with other LTIA team members to serve and assist customers as needed. Analyzes and resolves work issues, and/or assists in solving work issues. Responsible for building relationships of trust with the shipping public.
Coordinates and confers with his/her peers and his/her V.P. Sales & Marketing and other personnel to coordinate company activities. Keeps V.P., Sales & Marketing advised of changes within his/her assigned Corporate Accounts. Stays informed of trends and activities occurring within the industry and his/her assigned Corporate Accounts. Utilizes solutions, concepts, tools, and techniques developed and/or provided by the Company. Develops strategies, such as emphasizing value adding solutions, to produce maximum profitable revenue.
Prepares proposals, bids and quotes to obtain business. Quotes prices, credit and other terms; and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained. Responsible for completion of related paperwork, uses the onboarding process, communications, and facilitates customer service activities.
Travels as needed and up to 50% of the time. Calling on regular and prospective customers to build relationships of trust, developing business and is responsible for discovering, developing, servicing and retaining corporate customers. Confers with customers to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services and solutions. Ensures professional handling of the company's product and services.
Responsible for making quality calls/visits on a regular basis. Prepares and keeps records of calls and other business activities, including required sales reports and current customer record notes. Keeps record of travel and entertainment expenses.
Maintains and develops relationships of trust with customers. Meets all agreed to requirements of customers. Is assessable to customers as needed.
May assist in special projects as requested.
Records, traces, and enters information on company computer system as required. Makes inquiries from computer system. Operates other simple business machines. Maintains details of business transactions or other records as needed. Reviews customers billing and service to assure we are performing properly and accurately. Answers telephones and emails and responds appropriately and professionally.
Dependable and consistent attendance required.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with a preferred emphasis on marketing, management or transportation studies from a four-year college or university; and/or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as hazardous materials shipping regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and density.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability
