Broadridge is growing! The External Financial Reporting Group is seeking an experienced, analytical individual to temporarily be part of the team. You will be responsible for overseeing the accounting of the Company’s stock compensation and other benefit plans. This group manages the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC reporting and financial data included in the quarterly Earnings Releases. In this role, you will also assist with the automation of the stock-based compensation process via outsourcing the process to a third-party vendor, including assistance with UAT testing and parallel runs.

This is a temporary contract position expected to last approximately 4-6 months. We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed.  This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of the accounting for the Company’s stock compensation and other benefit plans, including monthly expense, excess tax benefit calculation, determination of fair value of grants based on third party valuations, and forecasting related to those areas

  • Assist with the outsourcing of the accounting for stock-based compensation to a third party vendor, including UAT testing and parallel runs

  • Responsible for computing and forecasting diluted share count for EPS calculations

  • Responsible for the compilation and review of certain financial data that is included in the Company’s 10-Q and 10-K filings with the SEC as well as the quarterly Earnings Releases

  • Respond to ad hoc requests for information and analysis

  • Ensure quarterly close activities are performed accurately and to required timelines

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years experience, with audit experience preferred

  • Experience with accounting for stock-based compensation, including familiarity with ASC 718 and application of those concepts

  • Experience researching and understanding SEC rules and GAAP accounting rules, particularly as it relates to stock based compensation

  • Experience working with external auditors on audit issues

  • Demonstrated skills in successful project management

  • Ability to multi-task and meet designated deadlines, with limited supervision

  • Ability to research and understand complex accounting issues

  • Ability to identify and implement creative solutions that support greater efficiency and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
