Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. We’re searching for a Summer 2025 Intern for the Sensor Infrastructure team. This team owns and supports sensor infrastructure for our current and next-gen vehicles. From benchtop sensor ingestion tooling to sensor pod calibration and evaluation, we support various internal teams and external locations across the full stack of new device drivers, sensor data collection, validation, through to the cloud pipelines for calibration estimation.

In this role, you will:

• Complete an impactful internship project aligned with Aurora’s current priorities and product vision
• Work with a dedicated Mentor for project guidance and coaching, and collaborate closely with other full-time team members
• Learn more about Aurora, connect with other Interns and employees, and develop new skills through events and programming

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and develop production quality software in C++
• Experience with fault-tolerant software system design and automation
• Knowledge of sensor fusion (camera, lidar, IMU, etc) concepts and experience with its data and calibration

Desirable Qualifications

• Ability to create software tooling and perform data analysis in Python
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions (HW, SW, integration)

Hourly Rate 

The base hourly pay rate for this internship is as follows:

$52.00 per hour for interns pursuing an undergraduate degree;
$57.00 per hour for interns pursuing a master’s degree; and
$65.00 per hour for interns pursuing a doctoral degree.

Interns must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship. Aurora does not offer J-1 visa sponsorship for interns.
