About the role: We are seeking an IT Platform Engineer with a focus on E-Commerce who will be responsible for overseeing the server-side operations of our e-commerce store logic flow and its integrations to our ERP system. This individual will bring a mix of data analytics, project management, and execution expertise to the table.

As the e-commerce store re-platforms to Shopify, the Platform Engineer will lead efforts for migration and will manage project alongside the implementations team. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, parses down large volumes of data to gain valuable insights and action items, constantly learning, and strategic.

Our mission is to build up an ecosystem which both customers, partners will benefit from. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our data across E-commerce platforms, and to support our advanced data analytics and machine learning initiatives. The role will be reporting to Director of IT and will be on-site.

The Platform Engineer will work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager and Data Team for website customizations, development, integration, and migration. In addition, this individual will report to the Director of IT and the role will be on-site in Burbank, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Architecture and Development:

• Design and implement the backend infrastructure for an e-commerce platform, including database management, API integrations, and server configuration. 
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product data, customer details, order history, and other critical information within the backend system.
• Set up and manage payment gateways to securely handle online transactions.

Platform Management and Integrations:

• Manage the e-commerce platform on the back-end, including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting. 
• Connect the e-commerce backend with other business systems to streamline data flow.
• Implement new features and functionalities to enhance the shopping experience. 
• Monitor platform performance and identify areas for optimization while maintaining change management.

Shopify Migration Management:

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the migration from our current e-commerce platform to Shopify. Ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to users and business operations.
• Oversee the e-commerce store logic, including integrations with ERP systems, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience across all touch points.
• Collaborate with stakeholders - working closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Creative, E-Commerce, IT, Data Analytics, and external partners to align technology solutions with business strategies.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze sales data to identify trends, customer behavior patterns, and areas for improvement.

Security Management:

• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data and prevent cyber threats.
