Senior Backend Engineer (Business Logic)

<h2><strong>About the role</strong></h2> <p>We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will help us achieve ambitious goals. We expect you to have a strong software engineering experience, readiness to drive change and experiment in search of the best solution, an understanding of how to work with big loads, and the ability to scale it. Be responsible for the important parts of the code and be willing to take on difficult challenges.</p> <h2><strong>About the team</strong></h2> <p>The Core Product Foundation lays the tracks on which future innovation happens, by empowering Miro product teams with a powerful, stable, and high performance platform.<br/><br/>The stream provides building blocks, tooling and guidance that enable Miro product teams to rapidly and autonomously unlock use cases with new features and workflows.<br/><br/>We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for the Business Logic Users team, which is part of the Core Product Foundation stream.<br/><br/>The <strong>Business Logic Users team</strong> is responsible for the fundamental entities of our product connected to User management and authentication services: Users and their Workspaces (place of work). This team has to give the possibility of easy and seamless scaling of the user base in our product and support reliable stability, also under the Data Residency project requirements. At the same time, performance metrics are essential for services the User Services team is responsible for.<br/><br/>The team is developing the architecture of Business Logic in terms of working with Users and Workspaces. The Business Logic Users team empowers the whole engineering organisation and serves as the relevant foundation for working with users. There is a rare opportunity to build the foundation of such a widely used product as Miro!</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Create high-quality technical design and high-quality, self-documented code</li> <li>Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity</li> <li>Design and implement scalable and high-performing solutions</li> <li>Identify synergies between software components and improve efficiency of development and code maintenance</li> <li>Keep the product vision in mind while working on details</li> <li>Help to build flexible, future-proof solutions</li> <li>Continuously improve our agile development process</li> <li>Take long-term ownership for feature/subsystem</li> <li>Collaborate with teams across Miro to improve our product, architecture, and engineering practices</li> <li>Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on the team</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What you’ll need</strong></h2> <ul> <li>5+ years of backend development experience. We use Java 17, Kotlin and Spring (+Spring Boot).
