We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Refurbishment and Repair Technician to lead the refurbishment process for our core product SKUs at our Netherlands location. This hybrid role blends technical repair work, process design, and data-driven problem solving, supporting our global mission to deliver high-quality products to our customers.
You will be the first hire in this region for our refurb program and will have the opportunity to build and refine workflows, create long-term solutions to recurring issues, and support operational excellence as we scale.
What You’ll Do
- Refurbish and repair three product types: laser scanning units, standard scanners, and embedded PCs
- Perform full teardown, inspection, diagnostics, repair, and reassembly
- Develop and document repeatable workflows and build lightweight SOPs that can scale
- Use tools like NetSuite, Jira, and ERP systems to manage inventory, log repairs, and track recurring issues
- Analyze failure trends across returned units and collaborate with engineering or manufacturing teams to improve long-term reliability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient refurbishment environment
- Coordinate closely with global logistics, supply chain, and service teams
- Support scaling efforts by identifying opportunities for future hiring or training
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, repair, technical assembly, or refurbishment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose root causes
- Experience using or implementing systems like NetSuite, Jira, or ERP platforms
- Comfortable working in a low-structure, high-ownership environment
- Ability to write, follow, and improve documentation and processes
- Fluent in English; Dutch and Spanish is a plus
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands
Nice to Have
- Background in electronics or mechanical repair
- Experience with continuous improvement, Six Sigma, or lean manufacturing concepts
- Familiarity with small-team startup or scaling operations
