Job Description
The SEO Account Associate Director is responsible for leading client and partner relationships and a team of SEO supervisors, managers, and/or associates for a brand/group of brands to ensure best in class strategy and execution, as well as team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge
In depth understanding of digital marketing and search as a whole
Advanced knowledge of SEO and search industry trends/current best practices
Advanced knowledge of all media categories (Planning, SEM, Media, Technology, etc.)
Deep understanding of SEO performance monitoring tools
Proficient project management skills, time management skills, and experience with project delegation
Able to problem solve and provide alternative solutions
Experienced in finding new ways to evolve strategic SEO approach and processes
Strong team leadership experience with advanced organizational skills
Internal: Operations, Tactics and Strategy
Leads strategic approach of SEO campaigns
Leads cross-departmental collaboration by working with team members to craft holistic plans and reports
Recommends specific SEO deliverables and provide SEO strategies that align with client goals
Correlates campaign dependencies to other media, or development initiatives
Monitors competitive landscape, increases client understanding of marketplace and aims to improve overall business goals
Oversees high value brands and category level strategies
Oversees executive level reporting efforts and trains team to utilize storytelling abilities in order to communicate SEO impact to clients and partners
Supervises and leads delegation of work load to Associates, Managers, and/or Supervisors
Determines new ways to partner across marketing channels, scaling creative thinking across internal media teams
Extensive knowledge of the roles, strengths and weaknesses of a variety of media channels
Consistently leads internal and external discussions in all media topic areas. Active participant in meetings
Provides oversight to junior team members managing project status, validates timelines and processes internally
Proactively solves problems and improve processes and efficiencies
Takes initiative and shows accountability for team’s work
Client Relationship
Builds trusting relationships with client counterparts as the day-to-day point of contact
Able to lead clients through search programs, how they are related to KPIs, and are ensuring continued search performance growth
Able to answer search questions and propose new growth opportunities when it makes sense
Able to set and manage client expectations, and be a brand leader and escalation point for all clients
Qualifications
Adherence to agency procedures
Proven ability to lead a team and high visibility projects
In depth knowledge of SEO performance monitoring and auditing tools
Exhibits Integrity and Trust
Exhibits Self Development as well as Self Awareness
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
5-7 Years of significant and progressive advertising agency experience with extensive hands-on SEO exposure
Pharmaceutical industry a plus
