Machine Operator - 1st Shift Floater

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: 

• Operates Automated Welding Machine 

• Floats to operate all other machines in the facility with ability to flex daily or as needed to different machines based on business needs.   

• Operates a forklift while at times operating as material handler.  

• Positions production materials and tooling and maintains accurate dimensions according to specifications. 

• Operates various equipment, including controllers, and programs according to production documentation. 

• Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. 

• Stays in sync with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource. 

• Ensures that products meet CADDY quality standards. 

• Inspects work to ensure accurate dimensional requirements are met  

• Assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems. 

• Takes action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc. 

• Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs. 

• Keeps the work environment clean and well organized.

• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned. 

YOU HAVE: 

• Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required  

• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.  

• Fork truck licensed or ability to acquire one.  

• Ability to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material.  

• Ability to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper)   

• Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Operations Supervisor.  

• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.  

• Ability to adapt to constantly evolving business circumstances and have the ability to thrive.
