Machine Operator - 1st Shift Floater

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Operates Automated Welding Machine
Floats to operate all other machines in the facility with ability to flex daily or as needed to different machines based on business needs.
Operates a forklift while at times operating as material handler.
Positions production materials and tooling and maintains accurate dimensions according to specifications.
Operates various equipment, including controllers, and programs according to production documentation.
Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
Stays in sync with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource.
Ensures that products meet CADDY quality standards.
Inspects work to ensure accurate dimensional requirements are met
Assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems.
Takes action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc.
Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
Keeps the work environment clean and well organized.
May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
Fork truck licensed or ability to acquire one.
Ability to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material.
Ability to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper)
Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Operations Supervisor.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Ability to adapt to constantly evolving business circumstances and have the ability to thrive.
