About the role

Description

Provide support to the Library by assisting with various Government Document projects as well as providing assistance with processing Government documents.  To provide additional/backup support in general materials processing for the Technical Services department.   Hourly rate: $12.22/hour.

Qualifications

Student must be astute, quick to learn and understand routines and procedures; have good reasoning ability; and be able to organize materials. The student must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to give strict attention to detail and accuracy; should be creative thinker; and have detective skills and interest.
The student must have basic computer skills, including knowledge of word processing. Training will be provided for the layout of the documents department, various classification systems, and other assigned duties. The ability to lift heavy books, push book trucks, and shelve materials at various heights is required. Other duties as assigned may require the student to have a basic understanding of how information is organized, technical competence with computers and databases, word processing, and Excel spreadsheets.
