About the role

Multifamily Field Executive

This position is based out of our Charleston, SC regional office.

As Multifamily Field Executive, you'll bring strategic, executive-level leadership to Samet's most complex multifamily construction projects across the Charleston region. You'll oversee Senior Superintendents and project teams, set the standard for field execution, and serve as the primary field operations voice with senior clients and strategic accounts.

This is the top of the field leadership ladder: driving innovation, developing the next generation of field leaders, and ensuring every multifamily project we deliver reflects The Samet Way in safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for multiple large-scale, complex multifamily construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery excellence, safety performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop senior field management teams, including Senior Superintendents, Superintendents, and Assistant Superintendents — hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development planning.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in field operations through advanced construction methodologies, technology adoption, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and business development teams to develop winning project approaches, constructability reviews, and value engineering solutions for major opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary field operations representative for strategic client relationships, major project stakeholder meetings, and high-profile project delivery initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain field operations standards, best practices, and performance metrics, ensuring consistent application of The Samet Way and corporate standards.
  • Lead complex problem-solving and crisis management across multiple projects, including schedule recovery, quality issues, safety incidents, and stakeholder conflicts.
  • Oversee and coordinate field operations across multiple project sites, ensuring optimal resource allocation, schedule coordination, and cross-project knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and corporate safety standards, maintaining zero-incident performance and promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Lead quality management and quality assurance programs across multiple projects, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional construction quality.
  • Support business development through client relationship management, project interviews, constructability input, and technical proposal development.
  • Drive professional development and succession planning within field operations, identifying high-potential talent and creating pathways for advancement.
  • Represent Samet Corporation at industry events, professional organizations, and client functions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field (preferred); an equivalent combination of education and extensive construction experience will be considered.
  • 12-18 years of progressive experience in commercial construction field operations, with at least 5-7 years in senior superintendent or field management leadership roles.
  • Extensive multifamily construction project experience (required).
  • Proven track record managing multiple large-scale, complex construction projects with values exceeding $20M+ simultaneously.
  • Experience across multiple project delivery methods (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, Construction Manager at Risk, Integrated Project Delivery) and building types.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced construction technologies, including BIM, VDC, and digital project management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry regulations, safety standards (OSHA), quality management systems, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Established network of relationships across clients, architects, engineers, trade contractors, and regulatory officials.
  • Proven ability to lead succession planning and professional development for field operations personnel at all levels.
  • Professional certifications preferred, including PMP, CCM, or additional OSHA 30-Hour credentials.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent Samet effectively with senior clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory officials.
  • Strategic thinking and superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple project priorities while maintaining operational excellence.
