Senior Manager - Labor Law Counsel (m/f/d)

About the role
<p>Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:</p>
<p>Provide general legal service with a focus on Labor Law & Compliance topics, ensuring legal interests of adidas AG as well as partially on European topics with regards individual labor law.<br/>
</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities: </p>
<ul>
<li>Provide state of the art labor law advice to HR and business partners in all areas of labor law including all aspects of (i) individual labor law (employment agreements, severance agreements, termination of employment relationships, disputes with current and former employees, advice on re-organizations) and labor law aspects of compliance matters as well as (ii) collective labor law issues</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Deliver expert opinions, assess legal risks and ensure dispute avoidance </li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Actively help develop business strategy & initiatives with effective legal advice i.e., in (cross-functional) small to large size projects</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Communicate actively and consistently with HR and contribute to the process of structuring and developing the organization</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Conceptualize and implement best-practices and standards to ensure labor law compliance on company level and support Director Labor Law in driving initiatives and efficient labor law processes in close alignment with the Labor Relations team and the wider Global Legal organization.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Conceptualize and conduct internal labor law trainings for HR and Line Managers leveraging digitization</li>
</ul>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Effectively coordinate, manage and supervise the delivery of labor law advice and services through external counsel where needed.</li>
</ul>

<p>Key Relationships:</p>
<ul>
<li>Reports to the Director Labor Law</li>
<li>Interacts internally with all levels of the company including the highest levels of the organization</li>
<li>Interacts and works with Labor Relations and HR community </li>
<li>Interacts externally with outside counsels as well as with representatives of management and trade unions </li>
</ul>

<p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: </p>
<ul>
<li>Strong background in all areas of German labor law as well as negotiations and business counselling</li>
<li>Excellent client relation skills (including ability to interact at the highest levels of the company)</li>
<li>Strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.</li>
<li>Pragmatic, business minded and can-do attitude with the ability to balance risk essentials against business needs</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage as well as prioritize substantial and diverse workload</li>
<li>Ability to manage complex mid to large size cross-functional projects </li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be fluent in English and German.</li>

<p>Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: </p>
<ul>
<li>German law degree as fully qualified lawyer ("fully satisfactory")</li>
<li>Ideally, certified labor-law specialist (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht/ Fachanwältin für Arbeitsrecht)</li>
<li>5+ years of progressive experience in labor law counselling</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Preferably experience with employee representatives and multinational companies with multi market teams. </li>
