This paid internship is designed to act as a catalyst for individuals with disabilities to enter the workforce and serve as a bridge to permanent employment opportunities. This role will provide valuable work experience and professional development opportunities for individuals with disabilities referred by state workforce entities and community-based organizations. The purpose of this internship is to provide exposure to a broad array of departments, jobs, and experiences.
The Rotational Intern will rotate through various departments within the hospital, including but not limited to:
- Administration: Gain exposure to hospital operations, including human resources, finance, and project management.
- Facilities Management: Learn about facility maintenance, safety regulations, and environmental services.
- Patient Services: Assist in patient support services, such as EVS, nutrition services, reception, patient transport, and hospitality.
- Information Technology: Gain experience in IT support, software applications, and network management.
- Supply Chain Management: Learn about inventory control, procurement, and logistics within a hospital setting.
- Nursing and Allied Health: Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care; learn about preparing and handling laboratory equipment and materials.
