Job Description
The OD Manager supports OD survey and process administration and is responsible for data analysis, research and systems/process implementation and administration for the L&OD Team. The OD Manager interfaces with clients to gather, deliver, and interpret confidential data using both in-person methods and online systems/programs, providing process/system guidance. The role reports to the Sr. Director of L&OD and works closely with the L&OD Team, HR Business Partners and Department Leaders.
Responsibilities include:
- Manages the planning and execution of major surveys/assessment processes (e.g., Team Member Engagement – TSAT, Life Cycle Surveys and ad hoc surveys) to identify individual and organizational improvement opportunities that will achieve USH goals and objectives.
- Researches and analyzes team and organization needs and trends through collection, analysis and interpretation of data and written comments.
- Provides coaching, consulting and facilitation to leaders and work groups to understand key organizational issues and offers support to help leaders drive engagement. Researches and analyzes critical HR issues and proposes viable solutions to enhance organizational performance and productivity.
- Markets OD products and services internally to Universal clients and provides guidance and direction to leaders regarding Organization Development strategies and initiatives to lead organization to increased effectiveness.
- Supports the OD Representative with the planning, communication and administration of Performance Management and Talent processes such as goal setting, evaluation, Talent Review and development tracking.
- Under the guidance of the Department Head, implements and administers customized assessment and data gathering tools (e.g., workbooks/databases, online survey tools, etc.) to measure the effectiveness of USH Team Members and teams.
- Acts as the expert analyst of data from various HR related systems, including those housed at Universal Studios Hollywood and those housed at UPR, NBCU or with 3rd party vendors.
- Applies statistical techniques and critical thinking to identify themes, trends and issues to ultimately generate insights and recommendations for clients and internal HR partners that inform decision-making and action planning.
- Plans, manages and completes assigned projects based on requests from senior level executives through the Sr. Director of L&OD. The projects require detailed analysis of data, translation of data into visual representations (org charts, graphs, tables, etc.) and translation of rough drafts into presentable material. These projects require the utmost confidentiality and sensitivity and may require immediate completion.
- Provides overall project management and systems and technology support for critical OD initiatives outlined above to support needs across USH.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 1-3 years Human Resources experience required; or equivalent combination of education/experience in an analytical role.
- Bachelor’s Degree Required (Psychology, I/O Psychology, Statistics/Analytics, Educational Psychology, Organization Development, Org Communications, Org Leadership, Performance Technology, Human Resources Development, Market Research, Human Resource Management or Business Management with an emphasis in HR is preferred.).
- Excellent knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Statistical software (e.g., SPSS)
