What You Can Expect
As our Mechanic I, in Golden, CO, you will be responsible for overhauls and repairs on all mechanical equipment. To include piping, valves, auxiliary machinery and buildings associated with the company’s production equipment. This is for the purpose of generating steam and electricity through the performance of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance. You will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
You will:
- Work safely with shop tools/equipment
- Rig safely; and operate hand tools associated with the trade
- Climb ladders to heights of 30 feet
- Weld, cut, braze and fit pipe
- Ability to preform preventative and corrective Maintenance on rotating equipment such as pumps, fans, and steam turbines
- Analyze complex machine problems in a systematic manner
- Ability to dead weight lift and to maneuver with 50 pounds
- Work mandatory overtime and any shift when required
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions throughout the plant
- Identify, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment instruction manuals and engineering
- Perform accurate record keeping
- Demonstrate ability to operate forklift and other company vehicles safely
- Demonstrate ability to do basic mechanical drawing
- Demonstrate ability to read blueprints and maintenance/engineering manuals
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years industrial maintenance experience or completion of a mechanical trade school and one (1) year experience in industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of all hand tools related to job duties including forklift and company vehicles, pallet jacks, ladders, scissor lift, overhead crane, chain hoist, slings, come-alongs, choker, and tiedowns, tube-bender, mill, drill press, all hand tools of the trade, vice, pipe threader, welders/cutting torch, cut-off saw, hydraulic press, sand blaster, grinder, sander
Additional Details
This role requires attendance at a worksite on a rotational day-shift schedule
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Must be able to complete the applicable General Physics - Power Fundamental Online self-study training courses
This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
Compensation
Hourly Range: $43.00 to $ 47.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
