Salary: $49.57-$57.21/hr

Salary:

This position pays an average of $53.37/hour depending on experience.

Description of Role:

SRI Telecom is hiring an experienced DOCSIS Engineer with CMTS proficiency. This role involves strategic planning, forecasting, and resource allocation for HFC network systems. Responsibilities include implementing production Strand radios via cable modems, overseeing end-to-end provisioning during deployment, and troubleshooting post-BAU.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in DOCSIS planning/deployment operations, network architecture design and engineering.
• Integrates communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
• Assist in cable modem, QOS, and Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) implementation.
• Creating methods of procedures pertaining to modem config files, upgrades, and any network changes that may happen on the HFC that would touch the modem's performance.
• Modem Configuration file provisioning.
• Provides tier support across organizations.

Skills:

• Must have knowledge of cable networks (ISP/OSP) and supporting CMTS configurations.
• Must have DOCSIS Experience
• Must be able to speak to your experience working in the cable industry.
• Must be able to speak to your experience designing complex fiber and optronic solutions architecture.
• Must be able to speak to your experience managing many fast-moving projects concurrently.
• Must be able to speak to your experience driving projects to completion.
• Must be able to track and report on milestones, what is a risk of missing and why.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be organized, detail oriented and personable.
